User-defined subcircuits do not upload very well. This simple subcircuit facsimile is one means of maintaining design integrity, without subjecting everyone to guess what the originator was attempting to describe. Additional diodes were added to inputs and output of this subcircuit. Not really necessary, but it does provide isolation as well as circuit protection.
